Activate and Validate a PhotoSanitize License

PhotoSanitize Standard is available without a paid license. To use Pro or Enterprise features, activate a valid PhotoSanitize product key on the computer where the application is installed.

Activation associates the installation with the purchased edition and checks whether the product key is eligible for the installed software version and device.

Activating a product key

  1. Start PhotoSanitize and open About.
  2. Select the Licensing tab.
  3. Enter your PhotoSanitize product key in the provided field.
  4. Choose Activate and allow the application to contact the Probativa licensing service.
  5. After successful activation, restart PhotoSanitize.

When the application restarts, the title and available controls should reflect the activated edition. Pro unlocks advanced profiles, visual detection, output customization, and additional reports. Enterprise includes those features and enables command-line processing and supported server or virtual-machine use.

An activation error does not require you to reinstall the application immediately. First examine the displayed message, since the cause may be a product-key error, network restriction, device-seat limit, or version-eligibility issue.

Checking the current license

The Licensing tab displays information about the current activation and provides a Validate command.

Validation confirms that the installed edition remains authorized. PhotoSanitize can perform this check online and, where applicable, continue using a previously validated local activation during its permitted offline period.

If Pro or Enterprise features are unexpectedly unavailable, check the license status and restart the application after successful validation.

Device seats and edition eligibility

Paid licenses have a defined number of activation seats. The same product key may cover one or several devices, depending on what was purchased.

An activation can fail if the permitted number of devices is already in use. In that case, deactivate an installation that is no longer required before activating a replacement.

The edition also matters. A Pro license cannot unlock Enterprise-only features such as command-line processing or permitted Windows Server deployment. Each installed computer must be covered by a license suitable for its intended use and environment.

Product keys are additionally subject to update entitlement, so confirm that the installed PhotoSanitize version is eligible under the purchased license.

When activation cannot connect

Activation requires access to the Probativa licensing service. If your computer can browse ordinary websites but PhotoSanitize still reports a connection problem, a firewall, proxy, or security policy may be interfering with the licensing request.

Organizations using restricted networks should ask their administrator to check connectivity to https://licensing.probativa.com.

Do not publish or include your complete product key in an unprotected support request. If activation problems persist, contact Probativa Support with the application version, the edition purchased, and the exact error message.
