Edition requirement
Windows Server use is supported by the Enterprise edition. Standard and Pro are restricted to eligible non-server Windows environments.
Before deployment
Confirm that the current PDFSanitize release supports the specific Windows Server version used by the organization. Also confirm:
- Interactive desktop access is available for the operator;
- Source and output paths are reachable under the signed-in user account;
- The licensing service can be reached for activation and periodic validation;
- Endpoint controls do not block PDF rendering, temporary-file creation, or report generation.
Service and unattended use
PDFSanitize is designed as an interactive Windows desktop application. The product’s current user interface and licensing workflow should not be assumed to provide a headless Windows service, scheduled-task API, or unattended server-processing interface unless a separate supported capability explicitly states otherwise.
Shared-server considerations
Reports and the Enterprise certificate can include the Windows username, machine name, operating-system details, CPU, RAM, and file paths. On a multi-user server, ensure that the operator identity and working directories accurately represent the controlled workflow.
