Troubleshoot Licensing and Report Export

Applies to: All editions; paid-license and professional-report features vary by edition

Pro or Enterprise controls are unavailable

Confirm the active edition in the application. After successful activation, restart PDFSanitize so the paid-edition controls are applied consistently.

If the application still shows Standard, open Help > License and confirm the saved key validates successfully.

Activation cannot reach the server

Check general network availability, HTTPS access, proxy or firewall policy and DNS resolution.

Activation and deactivation require the licensing service. Temporary offline validation is available only after a prior successful paid-license validation.

Activation limit reached

Deactivate the key on another device that no longer needs PDFSanitize, then retry. If the old device is unavailable, contact support with non-sensitive device and entitlement context.

Version outside update period

A paid key can reject a software version released outside its applicable update-entitlement period. Install an eligible release or renew the entitlement before activating that newer version.

PDF, CSV, or JSON report button is unavailable

Those formats require Pro or Enterprise. TXT report export remains available in Standard.

Certificate button is unavailable

The Certificate of Sanitization requires Enterprise. It also requires every selected PDF to have a sanitization result and a verification result.

Report cannot be saved

Verify the destination directory exists, the current user has write permission, the file is not locked by another application, and sufficient free space is available. Try an approved local destination to distinguish a PDFSanitize problem from a network-share or document-management restriction.
