PhotoSanitize is designed to help you understand what information a photograph contains and prepare a cleaned version before sharing it. You can use it for an occasional personal image or incorporate it into a professional workflow involving dozens or hundreds of files.
The normal workflow begins by adding images to the Photo Queue and analyzing them. PhotoSanitize then displays the detected metadata, container information, and potential privacy concerns. You choose a sanitization profile, review any sensitive visual content, and create separate sanitized output files. Verification allows you to check whether the selected cleanup requirements were met.
You do not need to understand the technical structure of JPEG, PNG, or TIFF files to use the application. However, knowing the difference between metadata removal, image reconstruction, and visual redaction will help you select the right approach.
The articles in this section introduce the main features, Windows requirements, and differences between Standard, Pro, and Enterprise. Your First Image Sanitization walks through a complete operation, while Understanding Image Privacy and Sanitization Limits explains what sanitization can achieve and where additional judgment is needed.
For your first attempt, choose a normal JPEG photograph, preferably one that does not contain confidential information. Once you are familiar with analysis and verification, you can move on to more sensitive images and larger collections.
