Sanitizing Images and Managing Output Files

Once you have inspected your photographs and chosen the appropriate settings, PhotoSanitize can create sanitized versions of the selected images. The original files are retained, allowing you to compare the results or repeat an operation with different options.

Sanitization can be performed on one photograph or on several included files. The same profile and settings are used for the current operation, so it is worth grouping images with similar requirements rather than processing every photograph together indiscriminately.

Sanitize a Single Image or Batch explains the steps from selection and analysis through processing and verification. Output Folders, Filenames, and Formats covers the destination choices, naming conventions, and supported output formats. Cancel or Recover from an Interrupted Operation explains how to handle incomplete processing and decide which files need to be processed again.

For personal use, the default output location and filename suffix will often be sufficient. Professional and organizational workflows may benefit from separate directories for original images, sanitized outputs awaiting review, and final approved photographs.

Whatever output arrangement you use, examine the individual processing and verification results before distributing a completed collection.
