PhotoSanitize is available in Standard, Pro, and Enterprise editions. All three can inspect images, remove supported hidden information, apply manual visual redactions, create sanitized output files, and verify the results. The differences concern advanced sanitization, automatic visual privacy detection, output customization, batch size, reporting, and deployment.
The appropriate edition depends less on whether you are an individual or a business and more on the features your work requires. Someone preparing personal photographs may benefit from Pro’s automatic detection, while a small business with occasional, straightforward metadata-cleanup needs may find Standard sufficient.
Standard
Standard is the free edition. It includes image analysis, the Metadata Only and Standard profiles, manual visual redaction, output verification, SHA-256 fingerprinting, and TXT reports.
You can inspect images in the Photo Queue and sanitize up to five files in one operation. The predefined profiles determine the available cleanup settings, although you can use the supported output location choices provided to Standard.
Standard is appropriate when you want to clean a few photographs before sharing them and do not require automatic visual detection, advanced output configuration, or professional report formats.
Pro
Pro adds the Rebuild, Maximum Privacy, and Custom profiles, along with more detailed controls for image reconstruction, output encoding, color handling, transparency, and frame preservation.
It also includes automatic detection of faces, license plates, visible text, QR codes, and barcodes. These capabilities are particularly useful when preparing photographs containing people, documents, or other potentially sensitive visible information.
Pro removes Standard’s five-image sanitization limit, supports custom output formats and destinations, provides PDF, CSV, and JSON reports, and includes Windows Explorer integration.
It is suitable for professional photographers, consultants, marketing teams, real estate businesses, and other users who regularly prepare images for distribution. Pro is licensed for supported physical Windows workstations rather than Windows Server or virtual-machine deployments.
Enterprise
Enterprise includes the Pro features and adds command-line analysis and sanitization for supported automation workflows. It also enables Certificates of Sanitization for eligible successfully verified outputs and supports Windows Server and virtual-machine environments.
These capabilities are useful for organizations processing larger collections, operating across managed computers, or retaining formal records of completed image-processing work.
Enterprise does not remove the need for human review when photographs contain sensitive visible content. In particular, Maximum Privacy requires interactive review and cannot be executed headlessly through the command-line interface.
