Sanitization Profiles

PhotoSanitize provides five sanitization profiles to accommodate different privacy requirements.

Metadata Only removes nonessential metadata and unwanted container information with minimal changes to the image. Standard (Recommended) extends this protection with additional structural cleanup and image normalization.

For advanced requirements, Rebuild creates a new image container from decoded pixels, reducing dependence on the original file structure. Maximum Privacy combines reconstruction with automatic visual privacy detection, mandatory review, permanent redaction, and verification.

The Custom profile gives Pro and Enterprise users precise control over supported sanitization settings.

Reporting and Sanitization Evidence

PhotoSanitize verifies sanitized output and calculates SHA-256 fingerprints to help identify the original and resulting files.
